KCAS will be reducing the $120 adoption fee to $25 for all pets currently housed in the shelter.
The shelter says that while adoption fees are reduced, shelter staff will be conducting their standard screening and adopter evaluations prior to any adoption being finalized to ensure animals are being placed in the best possible homes.
Adoptions will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Each animal at the shelter receives a first round of vaccinations, a flea/tick preventative, dewormer, a microchip (registered to the new adopter) and are spayed/neutered.
